Ghost Form on CBF
« on: August 28, 2014, 15:12:02 PM »
On CBF, and nowhere else I've yet been, one post on some threads comes with what I can best describe as a ghost application form superimposed. It seems to be an airline form asking whence and whither I want to fly, the departing and returning dates and the numbers of adults and children travelling. It is mildly irritating. Does this happen to other people? How do I get rid of it?

It could be an advert that has seen you look at other websites that are related to flights and tries it's arm at targeting you here. It is unusual for ads to be quite so intrusive though so if you capture who the company is next time then Keith might be able to restrict it.

You can normally remove this targeting yourself by deleting your cookies

The alternative is that you may have some kind of AdWare installed on your computer unknown to you but as you say it only happens on CBF my money would be with my first suggestion

I'm with Steve here, clear cookies and browser cache.

Also... have you tried using a different browser?  If so, was it fine or did you get your digital poltergeist?
