Steven Gerrard
« on: January 02, 2015, 14:21:59 PM »
The end of an era for Liverpool FC. He has been a magnificent servant to the club and in his prime, one of the finest players in the world. A pity he never lifted the Premierleague trophy but many fantastic players have failed in that one!

I first met him when as a youngster, he used to come to Southport FC for the LFC reserve games. There were many occasions when he and Jamie Carragher would feel the wrath of my tongue for acting like a pair of spoilt brats ;D I did have the last laugh, I ejected both of them from the ground and locked them out :D

Very good luck to him.  He is doing the right thing.  He said he would not play for another British club and will finish his career in the States.  He and his family will have a lovely time and no doubt he will be back to Liverpool in the future.
A great and wonderful servant for Liverpool and England.  I wish him all the best and thank him for his great effort over the last 17 years. ;D   ;) :-*

Gordon, Stevie G is a midfielder.

Unfortunate timing - just read on the BBC site that one of Stenhousemuir's youth team has been found dead in Manchester.  Condolences to the young man's family.

Liverpool have been terrible this season without Suarez. They will be in bigger trouble when Gerro goes.
Can't blame him as they have treated him badly by stalling on a new contract. Good luck to him.

A very sad day today.  We will miss him so much Stevie G  IS Liverpool F.C.
A loyal servant and saved our bacon so many times.  I doubt we would have won in Istanbul without him.
I think it will be a very long time before we see his like again.  Most players now are in it for the money and have no loyalty for any club that they sign for.
I am sure we will see Stevie back one day at Liverpool F.C. he keeps his heart there  :)
