Hero of the week - Michael Sheen
« on: March 05, 2015, 10:12:18 AM »
Michael Sheen the actor - Nixon-Frost, The Damned United etc. - made a speech on Sunday to a Support the NHS rally in Tredagar, Wales.  It was not the fact that it was delivered with passion and conviction, you'd expect it from an actor as good as Sheen, but it was WHAT he said that was important.  What he said was in complete chime with my own views on politics, the NHS and society in general, particularly when measured up against what Nye Bevan said so many years ago.  Please take time out to listen to what he said, particularly if you like your politics red in both tooth and claw!!

Wonderful stuff. That's the way to make a speech and that's what to say. Hilary thinks she's in love with him.

I don't blame her, Colwyn, I'm rather partial myself.
I interviewed him around the time of The Damned United and he was a thoroughly lovely chap.

I don't think I quite had my mouth open drooling while he answered my questions.....   ;)
