To save Fethiyespor from relegation Mayor Saatchi has stepped in to take training and to make sure the players buck their ideas up.  ;)

Should be 3 points for the team on Sunday.  :)

Fethiyespor produced the comeback of comebacks this afternoon to defeat play-off chasing Zonguldak and to aid their own battle against relegation. With 74 mins gone things looked bleak for the home side as goals in the 17th,70th and 73rd minutes had put the visitors from the Black Sea well ahead and Fethiye staring at relegation to Lig 3.
With an exodus of home fans heading out of the ground a brace of goals from centre half Bayram Cetin who had been sent up to play centre forward gave the team and the fans some hope.On 82 mins Hakan Kutlu cut in from the right and scored from the edge of the box. Then with 4 mins to go Cemre Atmaca made it 4-3 to Fethiye and to send the crowd wild. There was still time for Emir Gocke to get sent off after receiving a 2nd yellow card with 1 min to go.However the 10 men of Fethiye hung on to claim their 1st win since January 29th,but still sink into the relegation zone on goal difference.
An away game next Friday (due to Referendum Reg) in Istanbul against Anadolu Uskudar who are the team that swopped places with Fethiye today after they won 4-1 away from home.Earlier in the season the sides drew 0-0 but Anodolu have a very good home record, with only 1  defeat in their last 12 home matches.

A late equaliser from Oktay Pop deep into injury time rescued a point for Fethiyespor and kept alive their hopes of avoiding relegation. The hosts from Istanbul went ahead with a penalty after 76 mins before Pop's 4th goal of the season rescued a point.Fethiye remain in 16th place on 34 points, kept in the relegation zone by having an inferior goal difference, to Anodolu.
Last home game of the season next Sunday for Fethiye when they take on 6th placed Keciorengucu, from Ankara. The sides drew 1-1 earlier in the season but the visitors have the leagues top scorer in Yildiray Kocal who has netted 17 times this season. Both sides need the 3 points, Fethiye to try and climb out of the bottom 3 and Keciorengucu to get their play off hopes back on track after 2 league defeats in their last 2 games.

Fethiyespor produced a fine performance at home yesterday beating play-off chasing Keciorengucu 3-0 to help boost their fight to avoid relegation to Lig 3. Fethiye got the perfect start after just 2 mins when Cemre Atmaca was felled in the box and then scored from the resulting penalty. Just before half time Hakan Kutlu made it 2-0 for the hosts.Despite sitting on their lead in the 2nd half  and inviting Keciorengucu to come forward, the visitors from Ankara never really looked like scoring and Cemre Atmaca got his 7th goal of the season after 82 mins to make the game safe for Fethiye.
That win and defeat for Anadolu put Fethiye 3 points above the drop zone, and with a 4 goal better goal difference over the Istanbul side,Fethiye just have to get a point to be safe next week when they face 3rd placed Erzurumspor. When the teams met earlier in the season Erzurumspor beat Fethiye with a 93rd minute goal. Also Fethiye's defenders will have to be on their guard as Erzurumspor are the leagues top goal scorers this season with 56 goals.

Still looks like a point will be required as Anadolu play Bucaspor at home and Bucaspor will be "on the beach" as they have nothing to play for!

Maybe Erzurumspor will be in a similar state of mind Simon,as they might be saving themselves for the rigors of the play-offs for which they have already qualified for.

Fethiyespor did what they had to do this afternoon and drew 0-0 away at Erzurumspor, and so preserved their Lig 2 status for another season.Fethiye finish in 15th place in the league on 38 points, one point and one place above Anadolu Uskudar who filled the last relegation spot despite beating Bucaspor 4-0 this afternoon.
