The Turkish ice cream "Dondurma" is part of Turkish culture and well known around the globe. I have tasted and liked it especially the Dondurma offered on Prince Islands near Istanbul. There, one can choose between 20 flavours.

I have never managed to get a liking for this stuff. It seems to have the consistency of glue. Is it made from the same stuff as lokum?

We all have different tastes, Lokum is a sugary Turkish sweet and many people like it especially if it is made in a decent sweet shop. At the same time Lokum means toilet in danish. I think you mean the sweets "Lokum" that you don't like.    :)  ;)

Yep. I have no problem with Danish toilets and quite like Turkish delight. I just don't like dondurma.
