Fethiye Exchange Shop
« on: June 27, 2018, 17:29:05 PM »
Just a heads up.

We went into change £200 this afternoon. The rate had dropped to 5.97 to the £.

The guy put the lira through the machine and it counted out 1145 and he gave us the money saying “1195”.

We counted it and there was only 1145 so I questioned him. He said the machine was correct and it was 1195 (even though it still had 1145 on it). So I counted the money out in front of him, he then realised his ‘mistake’ and gave me 50tl out of a drawer.

It was an oldish guy who we haven’t seen before.

They've been making that 'mistake' in there for years.

Go to the one in Calis. We never go anywhere else . Always been correct and get a better rate for loyally. We must have changed  50  there at least. We always change at less £1000 a atime. Whichever man is on he will say " be careful thats a lot of money"

We usually use Çalis exchange and he gives us extra. However his rate is usually lower than Fethiye to be fair. We only change in Fethiye when we are there and need cash. Today was one of those days.

We paid our house insurance and some idiot left the bag with the papers in them at Guvens.

Highlander, I changed some in Calis Exchange, they were offering 6.025. I enquirer about a card and got one, rate was then 6.05. So an extra 5 tl in £100. Not a huge difference, but better than nothing.   :)
