There are quite  good ski-ing conditions this year in Europe. Hope that my grandsons don't injure themselves whizzing down the slopes. Has anything happened yet about the ski slopes in the Mugla region? Did Elmali get a ski slope and lift working? Very pretty up there in the snow.

Unusually high temperatures and a lack of slow is threatening the ski season as popular resorts in Europe have completely shut down.

Some resorts in France have not seen so much as a snowflake in almost a month leaving pistes completely bare.

I'm in Tignes, France. Whilst we haven't had any significant snow since the beginning of December the pistes here are all in fairly good condition. Runs to lower sloped in Val DIsere are mainly made from artificial snow, but again are being maintained in good condition. We are much luckier than other resorts. It does pay dividends to book to go to a "snow sure" resort.
