We went to this restaurant twice a couple of years ago.  On both occasions, we had to choose numerous times before they had what we wanted (we ended up with salads - which made it easy for them!!!   :o )

To be honest, we've never been back because of this, despite passing it most days over the last four weeks.  It sounds like it's improved, so we'll try it again in October ....   :)

The chemist next to it was excellent though - helping me out yesterday with a nasty eye infection!  :(

My girlfriend and I went in there last year wanting Turkish food. They showed us a menu with English stuff on and we tried to explain that we wanted Turkish food; we even pointed to the nice Turkish meal that the family was tucking into, but we had no success and left.

We ate here at the end of July and really enjoyed the Turkish food, it was one of the better meals we had in Calis.  The waiters were very friendly and were very keen to show us the food displayed inside and to choose what we wanted.  The night we were there we didn't see another table with English speaking people mostly all locals.
