Tiryaki Restaurant
« on: June 02, 2012, 09:41:51 AM »
Had a fabulous meal there last night.  Four of us went along.  Great menu.  Free meze to start.  Then with the main course two big bowls of mixed salad with corn and dressing. Then we got a free dessert which was out of this world.   After that got a guilded tour of the place.  The basement has sauna, and turkish bath and therapy rooms.  Bedrooms where really lovely.   Apparently they are building an extension to the Hotel across the road.
Have to say the meal was so different from all the other places in Calis and it was not expensive.   We had two main courses and drinks plus the free meze and desserts and we had coffee. Bill was 175 Lira for the four of us.
We will definitely be back and we will probably use the treatment rooms in  future, must add the staff where very efficient and professional.  :)

I've been past it a few times, and it does look very nice.  On your recommendation we are going to go there next Friday with our friends, for an anniversary meal!  :)

We went to the restaurant earlier this evening. We were very very disappointed.

The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Price was not an issue but value for money is.

We had Kuzu şis (lamb kebab)  and Karışık ızgara (mixed grill).

The food looked very pretty on the plate but the portions were small for the price.

Kuzu şiş (lamb kebab); I have had better quality meat with çöp şiş (small portions of meat kebab).

Karışık ızgara (mixed grill); the lamb was very poor quality and the köfte (meat balls) sold in Bim are better.

We told the waiter that the meal was very poor and we were disappointed. He offered us a free dessert which we declined.

No one from the management team bothered to follow up on our comments.

It is such a shame. Beautiful surroundings, restaurant and views of the mountains. An attractive park area opposite to the hotel.

Needless to say we will not be returning.

I have had better meals at road side lokantas.

We had hoped that we had found a quality restaurant. Unfortunately this is not it.
