Corner Pub in Winter
« on: December 19, 2014, 20:00:52 PM »
Just got back - we both had his meatballs for 10 lira and Hųseyin made them freshly for us. Nice soba giving off plenty of heat and restaurant area has had a makeover   I asked him if he was open all through the winter and he said "yes - otherwise I have to stay in and listen to the wife all evening - but sometimes I may vary menu as I will only use what is good produce so now I cannot get good quality liver and I won't make big batches of moussaka because I will have to freeze it and I don't like doing that - so you need to be a little flexible"

So a very nice evening and a nice man who know`s how to cook and more importantly what to cook for my limited budget

Ian, I have to say how much I respect your financial discipline, you often eat out, have the occasional drink, you travel extensively, run a scooter and buy luxury seat accessories, shop in some of the best places, support Gill with her lavish spending on a bi weekly personal trainer and manage to put a little aside for a 'rainy day'

All of this on a budget of 80 lira a week should be a lesson to others. I salute you my friend :-)
