Title: quote for dask ?
Post by: patch on January 23, 2010, 12:32:22 PM
what is the best way to get a quote for dask when you are in the uk ? and what documents are needed i.e. tapu . i have been on the site listed on here that gives you an automated quote  so i have an idea of how much it should be . i am also waiting for intasure to give me a quote but they will put an admin cost on top . should their quote be the same as the one i got from the site on here or can all quotes vary ? thanks

The quote from Intasure should be the same as the one you got on the site.  If they're adding admin charges, I'd use another company to be honest!

My dask was £56.00 with intasure this year it worked out abit cheaper than my previous 7 years with a turkish company, and at least all the policy is in english and the house insurance covers much more than the turkish one im informed.

Just a note, if you use intasure for your house insurance and you have a pool it must be a 'private pool' and not a shared pool as they do not cover shared pools unless the propaties who share the pool has their insurance with them. That's my understanding from what the sales girl said.

we insured with intasure and have a shared pool , how can having a shared pool affect your house insurance as it the house we are having insured and not the pool .

aghhh...you have your property insured...but what about the pool...are your guests and or family insured when in or around the pool area?

Patch, you should have your pool insurance cover for major perils, the question if we had a pool or not was asked when I got a quote from them as it's part of the policy they offer and will affect your rebuild cost. It's not going to affect your house insurance, but your pool won't be covered.

no our pool isnt insured as we could get anyone to do communal insurance as we have 14 villas all insured with different companies . so we have put a notice up at the pool saying that it is used at their own risk . unless you can give me the name of a company that will insure just the pool . thanks

We also live on a complex and, to the best of our knowledge, Intasure are the only company to offer communal insurance for pools, however 75% of owners must sign up with them.  Like Patch, most owners here are with different companies and don't want to change.  No solution so far.
