We always change at the Zumrut Jewellery Shop with Sedat. :-*  I think he is a great guy, as I have said before my daughter was on holiday with her husband and baby last year and in Olu they changed £100.00.  The woman in the shop gave her old turkish lira, which my daughter did not know about.  When they took it to the supermarket it was refused. She was told no one would change it.  She went to Sedat and he said he would try and take it to his bank  in Fethiye and get it changed, but he could not promise. He did get it changed, he gave them the money and took no extra for the trouble he had gone to.  After this, we have always used him and recommended him.  It was a really worry taken off my daughters shoulder's. ;D

I agree completely Jacqui. He is a gentleman. Even if he was giving a slightly lower rate we would still use him.

From the Viewing Point. across the bridge approx 100m on the right.

In fact, I'm almost sure it's shown on the Bar and Restaurant Guide.  ;)

The supermarket next to the taxi rank dolphins was giving a few lira more for your pound when we were in calis the other week. Beware of the exchange shop, always work out how much you should get from the display outside. They never tell you the amount, just give you the cash and they have made a mistake on more than 1 occassion. which was rectified when queried,

never found that to be the case with zumrut. Also counts it out and tells you the amount.

I usually go where the best rate is, yet last time Gordon went to the exchange place in Calis, He got a loyalty card (like Tesco card) and got a good rate and also then gets discount, he changed up £100 got the same rate as other establishments plus using the card got an extra 3TL.

If I change £100-£300 I always use Sedat he counts it out in front of you so there’s no mistake we have become friends over the last few years and we always pop in to see him or have a drink with him at Echo’s  but if I am changing a lot (£500 and above) I would use a bank to get the higher rate but still ask Sedat if he could match it
