Bank Question - HSBC
« on: November 26, 2013, 19:52:45 PM »
Does anybody bank with HSBC and have experiences/opinions to share?

As we have both our personal and business UK accounts with them and there's the branch in Fethiye, I thought it might be quite handy to go with them but would welcome others' views.

There seem to be recommendations (and warnings) about the other banks in Fethiye but can't recall anything much about HSBC.

Thanks.   :)

Just be aware that the HSBC name is franchised throughout the world and therefore the HSBC bank in Fethiye isn't directly linked to the HSBC business in the UK.

We use HSBC in Fethiye and have had no problems with them.  They have English speaking staff and are very helpful.

we had an account at hsbc fethiye. apart from the name there is no connection in communications!!! we tried to get fax sent from hsbc uk to hsbc fethiye. it never happened the line was engaged for 2 days!!! they have no internal system between them. so you could bank with any bank there is no loyalty connection, just franchise. having said that hsbc in fethiye have been helpful to us.

We set up our HSBC bank account in Fethiye from England seven years ago before moving here permanently and have had good service here, that is apart from the queues on occasions and people listening in, although you can go upstairs for a more private appointment. Can recommend.

Brilliant, thanks everyone - much appreciated.

KKOB - I didn't know that! I'm sure I'm not the only one that thought they were all part of one big central hub...
