The organising team has asked me to help in putting together the hampers for auction on 07 September 2018.

So may I ask that if you, any family members or friends are coming out before the event could you please bring something to include in the hampers.

There will be UK food favourite hampers, so anything like tea bags, coffee, digestive biscuits, corned beef, bisto granules, tins of ham, Colman’s mustard, salad cream, stuffing mix etc. etc. (anything that local ex pat residents cannot buy in Migros really).

There will also be chocolate, wine and cheese hampers so if you have room in your case for a little something it will go to a very worthy cause.

Donations can be dropped off at Café Soul (which for those who are not familiar with the area, is a popular restaurant on the promenade - walk down from the water taxis to the viewing point, turn right and Café Soul is approximately 200m from there).

Please speak to Tevfik or Onur and say your donation is for Karen Okka’s attention.

Alternatively you can contact Karen on karen.okka@gmail.com.

This is a huge event and will hopefully raise lots of money for all of the children’s charities in the area.

So if you can help in anyway please consider attending and/or donating something  :)  :)  :).

Thanks.

Whilst it is great news at all of the tickets have been sold, the bulk of the earnings at the event will be generated through the raffle hampers, the wines, spirits and champagne silent auction and the mini auction.

So if you can find space in your case for one of the items listed previously the team will be very grateful and you will be helping the charities to help under privileged kids in the area.  :)

A new group of volunteers has been assembled to allow Karen (one of the team) to have an idea of what they have and how she can work her magic in making great bundles.

The Soul Train 2 team purposely left the children’s charities to peak holiday season in the hope that visitors would help them achieve this most important part of their final mission.

Any pledge however small or large will go a long way to helping them achieve their goal.

CBF and it's members can be rightly proud of their generosity in the past and I'm hoping that it will be the case again here.

If you are able and willing to pledge something please post on here OR pm me stating the pledge and your full name.

Many thanks.

Thank you toky.

And I'll embarrass you by letting members know that it is no small pledge - in fact it's a Toky and Mr Toky traditional Scottish goodie bag full of lots of fine Scottish produce.

Here's hoping that other members will follow your splendid example.   :)  :)  :)

We’ve got tickets for Soul Train, and arrive on September 5th.  I’ll bring some ham, corned beef and cheddar and drop it off to Japon at Cafe Soul on the 6th.
