Hello, Since downloading the upgraded Skype version 5, I have not been able to contact anyone, either it says the internet connection is too slow or that there are microphone problems. I decided to uninstall that version of Skype and install an older version. I am extremely happy that I am now able to video call again. I emailed Skype and apparently they are aware of the problem and it will be resolved in the next version upgrade. If you are having problems, you can download an old version at filehippo.
I know that this has happened to a few of my friends, and not being able to contact loved ones is the last thing you want over the festive season
