Anyone having a problem at boot up? I updated to the latest itunes a couple of weeks back and again today and always get an annoying 'apple sync notifier' problem showing that icuin36.dll is missing.

However I understand that the latest itunes uses icuin40dll so don't understand where this is coming from.

All my devices are working on itunes and I just want rid of the annoying start up problem.

Cheers

Stoop :)

Is it version 10.1.1.4?

I have problems with ITunes EVERY time I install a new version - I get problems with it starting up. After much reading I learned that there is a program called Bonjour - no idea what it does and each time I install a new version of ITunes, Bonjour reappears in my prog list and the problems return too. I delete Bonjour in control panel/programs and problems all gone [:o]

Might try that. I am on the latest version whatever that is. Just downloaded it today but the problem started with the last updated version.

Fingers crossed!

Had similar problems in the past so now I ignore the new updates, my version of Itunes allows me to add songs and sync, so I work on the basis of why do I need a new version.

Didn't work Keith. It's now asking me to re-install bonjour via itunes.

Damn!

Oh well I will sort it one day  :)

Sorted it!

Uninstalled all things Apple - bonjour, mobileme, itunes, itunes updater etc etc. Then re-booted. Then re-installed itunes and everything is fine (funnily enough mobileme did not re-install for some reason but I don't need it anyway as it's accessible through the internet).

All my apple hardware works fine and I can now access mobileme and find my phone anywhere in the world, as well as send a message to it or wipe all the data remotely.

I think mobileme was the problem but I thought I might as well go for the full delete to try and sort the annoying boot up problem.

Not any more Mike - it's now available for windows users and enables you to link your computer to your iphone as well as many other things that I don't really understand.

I think it has something to do with 'find my iphone' as well as being able to log onto idisk from my iphone as well.
