I'm leaving well alone now Mike but thanks anyway.

Both my iphone and ipod are working ok and itunes is also ok. I'm no longer getting the boot up error message either so I'll just go with it for now.

I also had a problem getting mymobile to work as it would not validate my account. In the end I used another email address to set up a new account and it all works fine now.
