I got a new laptop earlier this year. A carry case came with it which I looked at, for the first time, tonight. In the front storage pocket I found a boxed disc for "Webroot Internet Security Essentials". Has anybody come across this and is it any good [?]

If you're running W7 then use the inbuilt Microsoft security essentials, it works very well for me but I never open links/attachments I don't understand or know the source.

From Vipre:

Pros: Webroot provides protection for up to three computers, and includes online backup.
Cons: The firewall setup is complicated and time consuming.
Verdict: Webroot Internet Security Essentials is a complex and capable internet security suite with a complete and robust feature set.

It retails at appx £11 for a laptop/netbook so that's what you got for free!

Thanks Mark. I have McAfee 3-user Total Protection but all three are taken up due to my daughter's demands. I have Microsoft Security Essentials on my laptop that I leave in Turkey and agree it's very good. I am just doing a bit of shuffling as I need to replace my PC.
