Tablets generally have an HDMI socket so all you need is a lead to your HDMI telly.

Planet Apple is rarely so straightforward - no such HDMI out but you can do it several ways but the easiest is to use one of these:

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MD098ZM/A/apple-digital-av-adapter?fnode=3a

One end goes into the main ipad (charging) port and you stick your HDMI lead in the other (then on to the tv). It's not cheap as you will see, but Vodafone do them now and again for a tenner. If I see that I'll let you know.

Doesn't work with all apps though - the main one being Sky Go which is a shame. But fine with iplayer/itv player etc and Tvcatchup, Filmon

We use our IPad to connect to the TV, just buy a little black box called Apple TV.

Apple TV is the way to go but as Keith says you can't transfer Sky to the big screen. Something to do with a block that Sky put on the IOS software.

Still a great tablet though - especially the mini  :)

You either love Apple or hate 'em - I love them. The iPad is one of the best made products in history - you just need to remember where tablet computers were before them - stuck in the Dark Ages.

Spot on Keith. My boss has an android and its a nightmare to navigate. Apple software is so much more user friendly.
