Friends have been informed by the police that now, if someone has an accident and they do not have residency they are not covered by their insurance, so beware if you just get a 6 month residency to buy your vehicle and then go back to visa runs as it,s c heaper.  Now had to do a rethink, and get another 5 year residency

That, sno problem, because you are a visitor, it,s people owning their own
car with MB or whatever plates that have the problem.  At one time you didn,t need residency to putchase a vehicle, but now can get one oln a 6 month residency, then go back to visa runs, but then insurance is invalid

If you get 6 months residency and insure a car for 12 months would not the insurance be invalid for the second six months?

Just asking as I do not have a clue.

Fraid not, as residency not for the second 6 months, and if an accident, have to show residency
