I don't know if anyone would be able to give advice on this. I have a record player that my father bought in the 1950's which is in need of some maintenance work and has no needles with it. One of my grandsons is really interested in retro music and playing 45 and 76 records so I would like to give the record player to him. We also have a good look round the retro clothing shops from time to time and it amazes me how popular all the old stuff is with youngsters. We were in Dublin this summer and even found an American Diner with all the old juke boxes and other authentic stuff to have our lunch. Does anyone know where I would be able to have the record player repaired? My grandson lives on the Gower Peninsula in Wales and I move between Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and the west of Ireland so somewhere around those areas would be ideal. Thanks if anyone can offer some advice.

Thank you, I shall be making some calls this week to see how much it would cost to have the player repaired. It would be lovely to hear it being used again. I have memories of my father playing records by Perry Como, Pat Boone, Lonnie Donegan, Elvis and the Everleys. My mother liked Winifred Atwell and Russ Conway. I liked Ella Fitzgerald, Dakota Staton and Alma Cogan.I wonder if those records are still in existence and being played.
