Sorry for loss of forum - fraud at work

Keith, many thanks for your efforts; having had the priviledge of participating in the forum discussions over the last year, I for one certainly appreciate your efforts, and am sure that I speak for the VAST majority of members when I say "Thank you"

The site is now fully functional after my domain registration account was fraudulently accessed and all the technical information changed so people typing in the address for CBF were sent somewhere else.

Amazingly, this happened very soon after I received a text warning me to "be careful".

There is only one person who ever had my master password, and this was used to fraudulently gain access to my account and trash the site.

I await a copy of the server log to confirm the IP of the person concerned, once this comes I will tell all.

By the way, I've changed my password. :P

I wholeheartedly agree Braveheart. I am only a newcomer but Scunners hardwork is certainly appreciated here.

I'm still getting problems accessing from work.  I get the following error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: '[string: "113, 147.201.224.113"]'
/forum/inc_ipgate.asp, line 371

It may be because I'm coming via a proxy.  Never been a problem before though.

Cheers
Nick

I have added a temporary patch for the problem that Nikos was facing. This makes the forum usable though he is seeing a strange message on screen - if anyone else is experiencing the same (and you will know if it is happening to you) then please let me know

Steve
