Scripts hanging Windows Mobile
« on: September 22, 2008, 15:23:57 PM »
When I access CBF from my PDA the browser hangs then comes up with a dialogue box telling me a script is running which is grinding things to a halt.   "abort/continue".

I am on Windows Mobile 6.1 on a HTC TyTn II (quie a fast lille device) and using the standard Windows browser.

Any idea how to avoid this ?

Which (or whose) version of the WM6.1 ROM are you using?

It's a Vodafone V1615.   ROM supplied via official Vodafone download.     ROM Version 3.28.161.1 WWE

Ok, try downloading a copy of Opera Mini and see how that handles CBF.  The likelihood is that it's one of the third party applications embedded in the forum pages that's causing the prob.

If you're comfortable with flashing ROM's then email me and I'll send you a link to a slightly more efficient (and well tested) version of WM6.1.  I've upgraded a few HTC handsets and both browsing AND battery life have been much improved by using a non-standard ROM.
