Wooooooooo, I'm dribbling just looking at that!
:D
-
Likewise, the carrot cake from Migros & Tansas is darned good & has the advantage of not having any of that sickly sweet icing
-
Give me that sickly sweet icing every time! :D: :)[^]
-
The icing is... the icing on the cake, and its not sickly sweet its bloomin' gorgeous and when sampled together with a piece of cake and the slice of orange is better than you know what ;)
-
NICHOLA ; WILL YOU PLEASE BEHAVE ? :o:P
Keith, isn't there a policy about posting pictures like this on the forum ? surely is shouldn't be allowed ? [sat lonely at my desk, nearest cake shop at least 20 minutes walk away :(]
-
mmmmmhhhhhhh - just sitting with a hot mug of tea and a large slice or three of yummy, moist mouth watering carrot cake, sorry got to go.... ;)
-
just realised that soon we might not be able to access web sites that have words like "moist" or "mouth" on them soon!
...so just as a serious aside if you have missed the topic on the proposals to censure (block) access to web sites in Turkey based on certain "words" on any web site then please check the following topic urgently - this is really scary stuff!
{A Link to an old CBF topic was here - no longer available}41222
anyway, where was I ? Oh yes, cake 8)
-
They are the best cakes in Fethiye, and her Hot Cross Buns were fantastic.
-
Just thought maybe we ought to be keeping this quiet or there will not be enough to go round....lol
-
Can someone please delete this food p0rn? It is distressing me. :(
-
Directions to cake heaven pleaseeeeeeeeee

The Mulberry Tree is opposite Pasa Kebap
Do you know where that is?
-
Hi Nichola, i know where you are and the Ptt and fish/veg market.Coming over next Sun and i thought i would treat myself.Thanks.
-
Its not too far from us - a few minutes walk.
If you walk along the main road past the new Migros (prev Carrefour) until the one way system merges - with the exchange office on your imediate left.
Turn left and go with flow of traffic - keep walking a few hundred metres, past Quicksilver, some new clothes shops.
At what will be the third turning (I think) on your left on the way, the Mulberry Tree is on the corner sort of facing you.
On the other side of the road you will have passed the Megri restaurant and then Pasa kebap is opposite the Mulberry Tree.
We buy a whole one (frozen) and take it home!
Enjoy :P
-
sorry - don't know what happened there!
-
Thanks Nichola.
-
I haven't tried the cakes in the Mulberry Tree (but will do VERY soon! :o )
Another nice place for home make cakes is Pies and Pastries, just before Scarletts. Lisa makes the nicest chocolate fudge cake ever! :)
-
I am partial to Lisa's homemade merangue - which I take home and slather with Kaymak cream - the closest thing to Cornish Clotted Cream and without a hint of UHT to be found...
Pies and Pastries is in Calis.
-
There is also a new cake shop has just opened in Hisaronu opposite Talk of the Town.
I hear they have been run off their feet and would be great to get some feedback on here.
-
You're up late tonight Nichola!

If you walk along the main road from the main Fethiye dolmus stop past the new Migros (prev Carrefour) on your right until the one way system merges - with the exchange office on your immediate left.
Turn left and go with flow of merged traffic - keep walking a few hundred metres, past Quicksilver, some new clothes shops.
At what will be the third turning (I think) on your left on the way, the Mulberry Tree is on the corner sort of facing you.
