Yes I know what its called, its the same as what can be done to women or men. But I fail to see its use in pets as the pet will still be a nuisance when in season and will still be vulnerable to breast tumours and Pyometra due to hormonal effects on the body. So, not really the answer to the dogs overall well being and not something I would want done to any female animal I owned.
