Don't shop with your family
« on: December 28, 2011, 18:14:26 PM »
I went shopping with my beautiful daughter yesterday, 120 miles away from where I live.  Found some real bargains especially a gorgeous skirt (skirts are at a premium at the moment, can't find a decent one, right length, pretty etc. etc.)  Anyway, daughter meets friend, yak yak yak etc. we wander back to the car and start driving off.  My daughter had left the enormous shopping bag, with all clothes, in the middle off town where we met friend.  Gutted!!!  When do their brains kick in ;) ;)

Yeah, it's amazing how much money you can save by driving 120 miles to do your shopping.  ;)

Still, look on the bright side. At least when you claim you haven't got a nice skirt to wear.............you'll be telling the truth. :D ;):D

It's amazing how different people's shopping experiences can be. We went to the sales today and I found a big free bag of new clothes.

I'm sure you're gonna look great in that skirt.

My Daughter's Mother in Law went to the Harvey Nicks Sale in Edinburgh and bought a Gucci bag reduced to £1,000.  She went for a pub lunch with her daughter and left the  Harvey Nicks bag containing the Gucci Handbag at her table.  After frantic calls to Harvey Nicks etc., she remembered the pub lunch and rang the pub.  The barmaid had put it behind the bar for her.  The girl had checked the bag and the receipt was still in it. What an honest person.  She was given a money reward by the lady concerned.

Hilary went to The Sales yesterday but couldn't find anything she liked. I pointed out that this was a "Fantastic 100% Saving" - but she didn't seem impressed.

Well don't go to Lidl or Markies, they will charge you for a bag
