Still bad enough when there is loss of life John

Two earthquakes struck southeast Spain in quick succession Wednesday, killing at least 10 people, injuring dozens of others and causing major damage to buildings, officials said.

Of course it is bad enough and the loss of life and injury is terrible.

But.....

I don't know alot about seismology but I'd be fairly confident if I said there was going to be an earthquake next Wednesday, I'd be proved correct.

Got you....yes agreed it is not rocket science. In some areas  of the world it is the norm.
I have felt two earthquakes.  One in Crete the other in our own bonnie Scotland.
