Gosh brings back the changes, we remember a team of men who laid the blocks from the oykun/ Rambo,s end, right down to the end of the end of golden moon in 2 whole days brilliant to watch them toll away, something you would never see in our country

I remember it well. The efficiency with which they brought it all together was amazing. In the U.K., they can barely fill in pot holes.

Was that the good old days then? or do people prefer it now?
me personally loved it then and still love it now :)
-
Wow me to can’t believe that was 11 years ago, so I’d only been coming here for a year and a half then, in some ways I do prefer it beforehand I do feel like the whole area has got rather built up over the years progress I guess :-[

Same really, all good times just I suppose you lose quaintness with modernisation and progress.

2002 our first time in Calis. When I look back I can't believe all the changes. Dolphin roundabout had dolphins on! No sign of the dual carriageway. A lot of the changes are an improvement, some not so good. But we loved it then and still do so will carry on enjoying our time there :)

I can remember a certain boat trip organised I believe by you Keith setting off from the Sat beach, we were all waiting for one of Jimmys staff to bring a load of pizzas. The funniest part was seeing Jimmy somewhat worse for wear diving from the boat through a fairly small inflatable ring! How he got through it goodness knows. That was before the Sat was built, at the time all that was in the corner was the old ore shute.

...and by amazing coincidence, given the title of this topic, the above boat trip took place 11 years ago TODAY :o
