We use a water filter, not a brita but does the same job and saves carting the water from the shops.

We make a cuppa from the tap . Once boiled it's fine. Been doing this for 5 years and no adverse effects.

We use it for everything. The tap water is safe to drink in calis/fethiy, the filter just removes some of the limescale so it is easier on the kettle and hopefully the kidneys.

We also now buy water in 19ltr bottles and have it delivered (takes about a nanosecond from ringing up)works out at 4.5ytl per bottle.

Might look at a filter though - mind you we only have a couple of cups of tea a day so it's not that important really.

Once the seal is broken on a 19ltr bottle how long will it keep.
If your only over for a week then is it worth buying a large bottle?
Would you use that much in a week?
Ooh too many questions........

We are a family of 4 and used about 3 19ltr bottles a week and use a pump on it.
Saves lugging 5ltr bottles back from the shop and works out cheaper.
If you throw 1/2 a bottle away at the end of the holiday its not the end of the world.

Two of us went over last week and we drank 2 x 5ltr bottles and 1 x 19ltr. We have a pump and decant the water into an empty 5ltr bottle to keep in the fridge.

I drank a bit of efes as well:P ;)
