We arrived in Calis yesterday late afternoon after having driven over 700 miles in two days on a roundabout journey from Kapadokya. it is good to have parked the car for a couple of days of doing nothing very much. We have never seen Calis so crowded. All the restaurants and bars were noisily filled with people last night watching some sort of kick-ball on TV. Mind you, compared with some of the places we have been over the last few days almost anywhere would seem crowded. Sometimes Hilary and i were not just the only tourits in town; we were probably the only the only tourists who had been in town in 10 years. i called into the Turkey Property office and was sorry to hear that Scunner was still in Scotland. I had thought that Steph would be fit to travel by now. Please wish her all the best from us (who she has never met) would you Keith. When we get back to the UK i will file a report on our travels - and tell e waya few tales about the things that happened to us along the way.
