How lovely is that, bright blue skies and snow on far hills.  The dog is called koça baş - a street dog of many years standing.

Wow, looks fab. This was ongoing when we were there in Sept. Think the lil dog has given its seal of approval. ;D

Lovely pics thanks for sharing. Does anyone know how the drainage has stood up to the heavy rain that you have had recently.
I did think at the time before it was completed that the "Vals bar" area would be unable to cope with the overflow from the square.

Dave, I asked the very same question, last week we had some of the fiercest rain I have ever seen and apparently the drains around the square coped well.

Know the dog but not its name.  They have another mate Ceylan, the one with the sad eyes.  There is an elderly lady, who lives above the card shop, who comes down every day with chicken or meat bones to feed the street dogs - between her and the restaurants they are really well looked after.

Fortunately, the drainage has held up great. The only down side is ... it is quite dangerous walking across when wet. Quite slippery!
