Sam,

It depends what you mean by 'a decent loaf'. If you are talking Hovis White or Tesco Toaster then I have no idea - I eat the local fresh bread whilst in Turkey and it's wonderful. We walk to our corner shop every morning and the little old lady there had usually just finished making it. What more do you need???

There's a bakery in Gunlukbasi almost opposite the police station. If you go in around 5 o clock you'll queue up as the workers go in on their way home. The smell makes your mouth water when you walk past. :P

flour,(cheese for keith only),and maybe yeast to (take)the rise, good fresh bread made without improvers/additives is just as good in uk as anywhere, if I knew what the turk's put in their bread I would post info, although they only seem to do one sort and one shape.

Right - two pages on bread is more than enough! For those that do not know how to get fresh bread in Calis:

1. Find a shop.

2. Ask if they sell bread.

3. If they do - hand over some money.

4. They will give you some bread.

4. Leave shop, go home and then eat the blo*dy stuff.

Simple really.

Topic locked.

Stoop

ps - if the first shop does not sell bread then ask if they can tell you which shop does - then go to step 3 and continue:D
