Being able to drive into The saniye with a car problem.. Drive straight in. Get a chicken half bread with chillies for 5 lira. Go  back to the garage for a free gay and drive out having paid peanuts for the repair and given free wipers.

Newspapers and news outlets in Turkey show far more gore than ours would ever get away with.

I remember our neighbour coming round a few years back. He was in tears as his daughters friend had been hit by a lorry. He proceeded to show us the front page of a newspaper with her bleeding and trapped under its wheels.

When Mrs KKOB's son crashed his motorbike on the Kaya Road behind the castle the paramedics had to shove the local news cameramen out of the way so they could treat him.
