Hope we have an expert on here who can help.
Just set up my new HP laptop with Windows 10 OS.This gives you step by step to sync other devices which I have done ie iPad and iPhone no issues.
However when I send mail on the laptop I can receive it on my other devices but not the laptop.
If I send from my other devices I can send but not received on laptop.
So in short laptop sending but not receiving.
Obviously same e mail address which was apparently imported as part of the set up/ sync process.

Are you using Outlook Steve or the Windows 10 mail app?

Hi, Steve. If you have more than one device you need emails, you should consider using IMAP, rather than POP as IMAP will allow sync across devices because it holds the messages on the server. POP will normally download it to the first device accessing the message but doesn't reflect on other devices. Here's an excerpt that helps explain the differences:
Essentially, the main difference of the two protocols is that POP downloads emails from the server for permanent local storage, while IMAP leaves them on the server and just caches (temporarily stores) emails locally. In other words, IMAP is a form of cloud storage.
The full article is found at https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/pop-vs-imap/ (https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/pop-vs-imap/)
IMAP tends to be better if you have laptops, phones and tablets all needing to access messages with updated status (or if you use third-person access to webmail).
I hope this helps.
