Looks like all the other tour companies are jumping on the band wagon. Just looked at some of the prices quoted one way from Dalaman to LGW. Onur, FTC are quoting £250 each for October. Knew I should have booked them yesterday when they were only £140 !!!!!!!

Just a suggestion for any poor souls looking for flights home - have you checked flights from Antalya ?
I have spotted some reasonable prices and the extra cost of the transfer may be less than paying the flight prices from Dalaman (especially if you can get someone to share transfer with you)
Good luck to every one

Can't believe it - we were due to fly out from Glasgow next Friday - 19th.  Our daughter and her husband were affected by the collapse of Zoom too. They live in Calgary and were coming home for a holiday in October.  A double whammy!

That's good PR for them and great for those who have lost money.

Shame on those companies who are jacking up the prices and taking advantage of others misfortune.

Really really fed up with that news as we were booked out on 29th Sept along with Stuarts Dad and wife who were stopping a week longer than us, took me ages to get all the co-ordinating flights and the only reason I booked with XL was because I wanted a daytime flight so his dad could get his bearings as we would arrive in the daytime, our last flights have all been with FlyThomasCook, there was no price difference just the times!.

Just had a look at flights and either there is nothing or the prices are just ridiculous............This b****y country.

Bloody hell - the airlines are REALLY putting up their prices.
I took down the prices of some flights this morning just BEFORE XL announced all flights cancelled but after they made the 1st announcement.
Going out was £45.99 now £179.99 with FTC
Coming back was 130 Euros now 380 Euros

Aegean going out £70 now £200

Firstchoice has appeared to pull all their Dalaman to UK flights off the website.

Will anyone actually pay these prices?

Yes.  The CAA using the 42m GBP bond that XL put up if they have XL customers/staff that need repatriated.

What a horrible situation for everyone involved...Hope everyone manages to get their money back.

I'm not happy at thomas cook though - last night, flights from GLA in Oct were going to be £600 - today £900. Cheapest I can get is £730 from EDI but that's still a fortune. Gutted that i didn't just book last night!!
