Dredging the canal by water taxi

This has been going on for a couple of weeks now, splashed my trainers when lorry went past  >:(

Hope they carry on upstream from the taxi boat bridge its got  bad since they built the walls and concreted the sides a few years ago which smartened it up.

The railings have been removed upstream of the road bridge so they will dredge that side too.

Yes as Kevin says railings removed further along towards the remer hotel so expect a lot more to be dredged, I did take a video of the dredging but not sure how to post a video on here with my phone ??

The bad smell in the summer was due to the water treatment plant being unable to cope with the increased discharge from the hotels during the Bayram period, causing an overflow into the canal. (The problem will be addressed we are assured !)
