if anyone gets the chance, get the dolmus to Kaya Village (from outside mosque in Fethiye) and head towards the little clock tower. In the village shop (market) ask for directions to Nadir's house. He will take you horseriding all around the village,he is the loveliest man, doesn't speak any English, will teach you Turkish along the way, and the scenary is stunning. Well worth £6 each, for over an hour.

If Nadir offers you a glass of local wine, make sure that you drink it after the riding, it's very potent!

Is Nadir the one who rides the tan brown horse and wears a "aussie" looking hat without the wine corks hanging off it, and spends most of his time pulling the horse along than riding it?

yes Dippey, thats him. Last time we were there he took us to the cay house for open air cinema. A very strange experience watching Waterworld with Turkish subtitles... not sure about his wine, but the herbal tea he made us at his house was an experience I would rather have missed!
