Had a bit of a laugh last week when a rather large filling came out as I ate a meal and I must have swallowed it as I only noticed it had gone a few minutes later! Fortunately I had a scheduled appointment on Wednesday this week with my NHS dentist and wasn't in pain so it could wait. I also wanted to ask him about 2 of those stick on things (like false nails for my 2 front teeth as Gill has been telling me to consider it as both my front teeth have chipped at the bottom)
The smile was wiped off my face when he said "you need a crown" - cost on NHS - £189 (which included my check-up, scale & polish!)- oh and £270 for the stick on things!!!!!!!!!Now don't get me wrong my Dentist is a lovely guy - so young that I asked him if he was old enough to treat me when I first met him.
But today it seemed a little odd that as I parked my car I noticed a lovely gold porsche with a personalised number plate - his car!Is it me - or is the NHS only for the very rich these days!!!
