Weather and the New Year
« on: December 29, 2006, 21:56:15 PM »
The subject of the weather may well be a British obsession although I suspect that wherever you are in the world, the weather forecast is quite important. I thought it might be of some interest to compare the forecast temperatures for Fethiye and Dingwall in the run up to the new year. Figures are taken from the BBC Website which may not be the most accurate but OK for comparison purposes

                    High        Low
Fethiye
Sat                 50          26
Sun                 59          23
Mon                 59          19

Dingwall
Sat                 48          37
Sun                 44          39
Mon                 44          30

And where would I rather be - in Dingwall of course because we have family coming to stay and my great mate from school days and his wife (from Aberdeen) will be in the area and our dear close Dingwall friends will come for Hogmany. The only thing missing will be our very good Turkish friends.

Doubtless we will reminisce about the "good old days" and express our hopes for 2007, but whatever we do, we will be safe in the knowledge that we are among true friends and that will be a great comfort to us and fill us with warmth and joy. What could be better:D
