We hear a lot these days about Tesco's and their suppliers - mostly negative.
I had a meeting on Friday with a fellow who bags carrots for Tesco. He was telling me that he has to hit a quality rating of something like 99.7 % (couldn't swear that was the exact number) and that his company had missed it by 0.4 %.
I said that I thought that was pretty good, but he said that Tesco's weren't particularly happy.
I ventured that I thought that was ridiculous. His response...
No it isn't - Tesco's are a world class company - we chose to work for them and it's up to us to match their standards.
