During a stay in Liverpool (At the Adelphi, what a dump!) I had to meet someone at an Indian restaurant not far from the hotel, certainly not far enough that I would have to drive or get a cab.
For the record, Scousers, even though I was in your home town, I certainly did "walk alone".
