Thanks for the directions Alan, i'll have a nosey next time I am there. I am thinking of booking B&B at the Area, they have quoted £30 per week, end of June. Bargain!

Kerry-I visted Calis last October 4th and the temp was well in the 70's, nice and hot but without the intensity! I was quite surprised how hot it was, you'll love it!  :)

Hi Kerry, here is the email I received on 06.01.09 fom Area Hotel. It's right on the seafront and is really clean. It was a quote for 1 person b&b for 1 week comm 28.06.09
Email- info@areaotel.com

Dear Jenny,

On the dates you had given below, it is 30£ per room bed and breakfast. Thank you for your kind interest to our hotel.

Best regards,

Hi Jenny

sounds good, many thanks. Just trying to organise flights right now for end of october. Cheapish flights going out but not brilliant coming back.

On a budget so will need to monitor. Or i could raid thre kids bank accounts as it is half term so technically there fault it is more expensive. (just going to check there is no law against it tee hee)

Are you going over this year?

I know this is a topic on the Kaan Hotel, but I feel I have to set the record straight as regards the Area Otel. I have stayed there in the past and enquired for last year and the price was £15 per person per night! not per week as Jenny1 stated! I agree there is a degree of language barrier going on. When I sent them a copy of the costings, and received a quick reply, that, as a single occupant I would have to pay £22.50 per night! A long way off the £30 per week! Beware :o

thanks for that

going to stick with the Kaan as this was what made us want to go back. £210 for the week in october seems great to me.

its the flights that spoil things.

Hi Kerry, last year (in October) I booked a week through Travel Republic.  Local (to me) flights, 3* hotel (b&b)& transfers = £260ish [^].
