Welcome to Scotland

Let me try and explain. There are quite a few single track roads where I live and on such roads there are passing places. These passing places are the only section on the road where two vehicles can pass each other. The protocol is quite simple.

If you are driving towards the camera, you pull into the passing place (just as the blue car has) so that oncoming traffic can continue along the road.

Could the caravan towing foreigners I was travelling behind the other day grasp this concept - NO CHANCE.

Whilst travelling in the opposite direction to the blue car, I lost count of the number of times that one of these muppets veered right into the passing place, leaving me and my counterpart coming the other way, looking directly at each other with absolutely nowhere to go.

PS Yes I know the blue car has foreign plates ;)
