I have long been intrigued by the term public servant.

In my working life I have been involved in building 100's of Local Authority and/or Housing Association houses, more than a few hospital extensions, lots of schools, numerous police stations and a variety of other public buildings. Does that make me a public servant.

PS Just realised that may not have made any sense without me saying I don't work for the goverenment.

Labour added 1 million to public sector work force, Young Dave's only just started on the cuts I think more to come. what I can't understand is why uk tax payer bailed out first Iceland and now the Irish when we should be using cash to pay off our own debts first, with Ireland going for 23% Vat more people will head over the border to M&S etc, what will that do for small business in Ireland. agree 2 million crazy to spend anything. not good for government to waste money or to be seen wasting money.
