Thomas Cook hand luggage
« on: May 06, 2012, 14:52:07 PM »
I flew from Gatwick yesterday afternoon & above all the Thomas Cook check in desks was the message that handbags & laptops would be included in the 5kgs hand luggage allowance :( Whilst still in the queue, I managed to put some heavier items into coat pockets etc  :o I may well have got away with it, but given that my hold luggage was to the limit (20kgs exactly!) I didn't want to take the risk

has anyone flown with Thomas Cook recently I just wondered whether they are weighing hand luggage at the mo, my cabin case weighs 2.6 kilos with nothing in it so if they are weighing I may have to find a different bag  :)thanks for any replies.

T.C. have always had the rule "one piece of hand luggage only and it must be no more than 5 kilos"   We use them all the time, sometimes they check it, sometimes they weigh it, other times they don't bother, it's the luck of the draw, but best to be safe and just abide by the rules.
