Dr John is recovering from a heart attack and an operation to fix it so if you are passing by near to Carretta why not stop by and say hello and wish him well. For those that don't know him, he is one of the loveliest, most honest, giving people in the resort and I will be the first to wish him a speedy recovery. For those going to stay there don't worry Cem (his son) is doing a fine job I hear.

Oh my goodness!  This is the first I've heard about this.  We stayed at the Carretta in May and Dr John is everything you say.  A wonderful, funny, kind and caring man. 

Our very best wishes for a speedy recovery, hope to see him back to his best next time we come.

Does anyone have any recent information on Dr John?
We were living at the apartments when he took ill.
He seemed to make a remarkable recovery and looked his usual self when we left on 28 June.
He answered an e mail from us following our return to the UK but a more recent one has not had any response which is very unusual for him.

I emailed him on Friday after I'd seen this topic.  judging from his reply sent around lunchtime yesterday I'd say he's in very good form!   

Actually, he says he's feeling much better now and hoping to be back to full health soon which is good news.

Oh  my goodness, what a shock, I agree with all that everyone has said. Dr John is one of the most kindest , genuine person that I know. Cem is such an able young man, so he will keep the place going with Duran. Will definately pop in to see him next week .

Just returned after 3 weeks at the Caretta Apartments.
Dr John appears to have returned to health and is, as usual, speeding around making sure that his guests are happy.
He is an amazing individual and a true gentleman.
