Yes and if the pool is filled with pumped well water it is even worse, it comes out of the ground absolutely freezing. Any heat added is lost overnight, till the hot nights come. When we holidayed there we were in the pool first week of May every day - then in the 5 years we lived there we filled the pool later and later each year - and shook our heads at these tourist types, who jump into pools in the first week of May
