Bursa

Occasionally I book hotels via Booking.com. In return they send me huge amounts of unsolicited emails which I don't block in case one has news about the hotel I have booked. Today its recommended destination for me is Bursa  Has anyone been there? Can anyone suggest why Booking.com might think it is a desirable tourist destination for me? Apart from the fact that it is home to Scunner's favourite Turkish dish - of course.

Ottoman empire started there so has few ottoman buildings and green Mosque. About 1 hour from Istanbul not really tourist place but greenery. I haven't been there myself just taking ingo from hubby

You're lucky Colwyn, Booking.com have almost daily sent me hotels in Barnsley

Barnsley: one of those grim industrial cities up North. Much like Bursa, except Barnsley has never been the capital of an empire.
