Even those of us who live in the best place in the UK go on holiday sometimes. So I went to Madeira and found another Bristolian had got there before me. They seek him here, they seek him there ... that damned elusive Banksy's everywhere.

Bollington is lovely though..It is a little village and it has 27 pubs. A huge hill to climb with a monument called white Nancy.lots of history, lots of nice walks and scenery. Handy for Macclesfield,Manchester, and of course footballers country prestbury..

I really can't understand why Wrexham isn't up there in the Top Ten. We've got such a relaxing atmosphere here in the town.

Anyone know what time the next bus to Oblivion is ?

First time I've heard a place actually being praised for being "handy for Macclesfield".

Bernie, thank you for prompting me to look up Macclesfield and find out what it is so special about the place. According to Wikipedia it is noted for one of its citizens, Paul Oldfield, being the world's only currently performing flatulist. I won't spoil the pleasure for you in looking up this occupation and discovering just what a flatulist is/does and why this makes Macclesfield so famous.

It wasn't macclesfield I was singing the Praises of, but Bollington. Although Macc isn't the worst place I've ever been to.

And they have professionals? Gawd!

It's a tight squeeze but he rarely produces a bum note.
