When you run out of dishwasher tablets, never, ever, just say "bung a squirt of washing up liquid in, that'll do the trick".  Even more so when it's a rented apartment!

       My dishwasher is called Kevin, and he is relatively trouble free.  Just don't try shoving tablets up him.        ;)

Also, if you have a jacuzzi in your rented place, do not put in any bubble bath.  I had friends who did that in an Hotel in Turkey, She is 4ft 10" and disappeared in the suds.  They flooded the floor with foam.
